THE MANY LIVES OF TAREK X is an anticipation fable in the shape of a large scale concert.
It chronicles, in the smoke of a sensorial club, the adventures of Tarek X, a tender and bewildered anti-hero, on his way to meet a community of radical lovers trying to heal themselves from the burdens of capitalism.
It is a hybrid experience blending video-art, story-telling and electronic music in which Gérald Kurdian unfolds the objects of a research initiated together with an ensemble of practitioners, performers and activists who transform bodies and intimacies to heal.
Its main materials are electronic club music tracks, photographies and films.
It can be presented on stage as a show which music is played live or as a video installation.
