Producer, vocalist, performer and protean DJ, TAREK X navigates between club music and DIY, guided by a creative approach at the crossroads of aesthetics and disciplines. His encounters in the alternative scenes of Europe and North America nourished the inspiration for his first album produced in collaboration with producer Apollo Noir (Jeanne Added, Bagarre, Buvette). We discover personal, powerful and moving vignettes between dark techno, ambient and electronic post-punk. Live, it is accompanied by samplers, drum machines, synthesizers and video.
Tarek X is one of the artists of the transdisciplinary project Hot Bodies of The Future, envisaged as a label, a media, an archive source and a production house.
After releasing their first EP I-V in June 2020 they produced in 2022 a remix EP together Cate Hortl, Calling Marian, Katu, DAT Politics et Panteros666 released on Hot Bodies of the future. They prepare a new single, The Cage, with a music video directed by Roxanne Gaucherand (Ascendant Vierge, Maud Geffray, etc) to be broadcasted in 2023.
